Hello coderanch!

My name is Parth Parikh. I am 16 and have recently become intrigued by how computers work. One thing led to another and I started to become involved with Java.
I've been on this forum searching and reading various threads. I can't show my appreciation enough for these forums and this supportive and helpful community!

Before I had any interest in taking the exam, I had picked up a copy of Head First Java by K&B. This book makes the perfect primer. After finishing the book, I decided to look further into Oracle's certification program. I thought I'd start out with the SCJA and then make my way up from there. I then bought Robert Liguori's SCJA Study Guide and I accredit much of my success to him and K&B. Lastly, I want to express my gratitude for these forums, thank you all!
