Is knowledge of J2EE necessary for spring or hibernate?

I am having a course lecture for spring and hibernate...but i dont hav knowledge about j2ee??is it a pre-requisite for learning spring or hibernate or even struts?

Nope... You don't need.

Spring and Hibernate can integrated with J2SE too.
