Open xls in IE separate window

Dear All,

I have one typical problem, In my application we are validating the data from excel sheet. If any error is reported we will highlight the errors and provide the link to see the same. While doing so, when user clicks on link it will ask for save or open option. In mozila it is working fine but in IE if we click open it is getting opening in the IE window itself.

How can we force that to open in the excel window instead of IE window.
