I've been in India twice: once in Rajasthan, New Delhi, Varanasi and the other time in the far north, Ladakh. My parents have been there five times, in places such Rajasthan, Orissa, southern India, and Ladakh.

For me it's just an interesting adventure to see parts of the world other than my own country. There is so much to see in India, from many interesting cultural things to fantastic landscapes. Thinks like Varanasi, the Taj Mahal and the Himalayas are just very impressive and interesting. My mother especially likes to see how people live in different places.

In my experience, everywhere where I've been in India the people are friendly, I've never felt unsafe there, unlike some other countries.

I would attribute it to Atithi Devo Bhava which is an integral part of Indian culture, much like the southern hospitality in US.

For ladies visiting, they'd want to see all the pretty colors (India is the land of multi-colored saris) and experience all the tasty cuisines.

You can't have everything. Where would you put it?
a bit of art, as a gift, the permaculture playing cards
