Took the exam yesterday and got an 80% (68% was passing). Not entirely happy with that score, but I will make it up with hard work on the OCJP exam. Does anyone know if any new or updatedbooks are coming out for that exam in the new future?

Congratulations, champion!

If you want to do OCP SE6, then the best book is definitely the K&B book. And from the same authors you have a book with 4 practice exams (similar to the real one). Take a look at ScjpFaq (and scjp forum) for more info.

For OCP SE7 you'll have to wait, I don't think a book is already available.

Congratulations!

Definitely Kathy Sierra's and Bert Bates' book is a very good one.

If you master that you are fine, but do a lot of mock exams.

Kind regards,

Gian

Thanks! I picked up the K & B book last night.
