Hi everyone,
I have built a struts webapp and would like to add additional functionality.
The two pieces i am looking to add are : SSL and Emailing

Does anyone suggest any technologies that i should use to do these.
For SSL i was looking at SSLEXT for struts 1.2, would this work with 1.3.8 or struts 2. Or is there a better thing to use?

Also with the email thing. I am really lost. Could someone please point me in the right direction of how to add email functionality to a web application. I.e. how do i set up something that can send and receive emails and what jars, plugin would i need to communicate with this sending and receiving email technology running on the server.

Thanks for the help with these matters.

Have a great week.

Hi,
Im not very sure of the SSL, but for the mail, you need to have activation-1.0.2.jar, mail-1.3.jar,servlet-api.jar. This URL should get you going.

As far as I know, SSL needs to be supported by the web server, Tomcat, Apache or Websphere. There is basically no work to be done in Struts.
