I have the requirement into which I have to take data from the excel sheet and then pump that data into the database , for ex there is a excel sheet containing two columns... and then I have to put the data of the two columns into the database into the particular table ...will Java help me and sply which libraries and how to do this ....please guide me ..!!Thanks

Apache POI is a library which will allow you to extract data from Excel documents.

As for updating a database, you would use JDBC. You will need to have a JDBC driver for your particular database in your classpath.

There is a SQL query for accomplishing the same. Syntax of the query might differ for different database engines.
