Hello all,

Can you please tell me to can I translate a webapp in arabic ? I can't seem to be able to display the chars. I will be using a properties file, reading the string from it and displaying them in a JSP.
The question is how can I define the strings? Is there any convention for arabic characters? Should I write unicode values for each char or smth ?

Please help,
Thanks

Are you trying to add an Arabic local to your web application and trying to translate from language-a to Arabic?
If yes, then you need someone how can translates between the two of them.

On a side note, if you've put non ASCII characters in your .properties file, you must convert it using the native2ascii tool. Then everything should work.

Thanks for the native2ascii tip. Sounds like a very useful tool for me.

Now I know that I really wanted to ask about UNICODE. Took me a while to find out.
So I shall use UNICODE characters in a properties file in order to translate my webapp to arabic.
