Java Websphere Portal Architect
Location: Jacksonville, FL.
(You Must currently be in the USA)

Job duties include but are not limited to the following:
*Communicate the architectural vision, experiment with alternative architectural approaches, create interface specification documents and validate the architecture against requirements; understand and link business architecture with the technical architecture for the enterprise
*Develop a consistent framework for future company technology decisions
* Responsible for the detail design documentation, development, unit testing and maintenance of internally developed java applications and externally purchased software products
*Write detailed technical specifications for subsystems and identify integration points
*Estimate project timelines and resources required to complete programming projects
*Perform unit testing and debugging and set test conditions based on code specifications
*Supports application throughout the Product Development life cycle
*Coordinate with areas for integration architecture solutions and determine the integration approach
*Review vendor research and gap analysis, make vendor recommendation to technical team and client
*Bridge the gaps between business and technology to deliver a ''blueprint'' for developing the enterprise technical structure
*Provide expertise as it relates to decision-making and priorities for the enterprise technical architecture
* Provide architectural guidance, design and development for websites such as Find an agency, Online Provider Directory, Hispanic www, Internal Carcalc Estimator, etc.

Job Requirements:
*Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
*5 or more years of progressive technical experience doing technology configuration, deployment and systems integration
*5 or more years of related code development work experience in IBM Websphere Portal 6 and above, J2EE applications, RAD, Apache Struts, Unix Shell Scripting, Database, Db2, SQL, HTML, and XML technologies
*Knowledge of coding design and documentation protocol as well as unit testing, change management and release procedures
*Experience creating, documenting and communicating architectural designs for sub-components of a system including web sales, self service and apply systems *Experience with Linux, or AIX operating systems
*Experience developing and/or interfacing with XML, web services, REST
*Demonstrated experience using versioning tools clear case
*Demonstrated SDLC experience
*Experience developing multi-threaded applications; debugging, optimization, and release management
*Strong communication, consulting, collaborative and negotiation skills

Business Specific Criteria (Preferred):
*Bachelor or Master’s degree related to Information Technology
*Knowledge of current health care company trends
*Experience with Visio
*Ability to design innovative and compelling user interfaces
*4+ years experience with agent based health applications
