DispatchAction is not deprecated in Struts 1.3.5. It's just listed in a different JavaDoc File. It's listed under "Struts Extras" instead of "Struts Core" because it's physically packaged in the struts-extras-1.3.5.jar.

In Struts 1.3.8, however, they realized that this strategy of listing the classes in separate JavaDoc files was only confusing people, and they appropriately decided to include everything in one JavaDoc file again.
