Please, advise me something in my problem. I have an xml file with 2000 records and i need to display data on 20 records per sheet.

I have been studying xslt, but i can't understand how to apply it for pagination. There are no id in xml file.
I'm trying read xml by stax and output data in browser, but all data are displayed.

I would parse the 2000 "records" in the XML (whatever they might be) into 2000 plain old Java objects and use ordinary pagination methods to display them.

XSLT would be a long way down the list of technologies I would choose for that.
