Hmm, that location in the code is in the "Autokeys" section. According to the oracle.properties in the oracle db config directory and the schema there, the DB will "autoincrement" the id key.
So, check your config files to make sure that the database.support.autokeys option is set to false (in both the oracle db directory and your jforum-custom.conf.
Also make sure that you are really using the OracleDataAccessDriver. It's odd that the Exception trace lists the GenericUserDAO and not the Oracle specific one. [originally posted on jforum.net by monroe]
