JForum.net layout was merged into header.htm and bottom.htm. The topic you read has some interesting information.

As currently JForum is not built using some portlet approach, it's hard to integrate it in other template engines / controllers, as they are different applications.

But if everything you want is to merge JForum to your website's look 'n feel, edit the files header.htm, bottom.htm and the stylesheets to achive the desired result.

Hi all. My colleague and I have decided to use JForum for a new site we are developing. We want to integrate it into our existing JSP pages, which are fed from a CMS. The pages have top and left-hand navigation and a footer, so we want the forum to appear inside of those.

I see that the wiki does not yet include information on how to do this, so I read a topic about this (https://coderanch.com/t/576222 ) but didn't understand the instructions given at the beginning and in the second last post.

Rafael, I see that this forum has been integrated into the site. Could you or anyone else perhaps give some more clear instructions on how to do this than those mentioned in the other topic? If not, guess I'll have to ask some questions in that topic.

Thanks, and keep up the good work.

Thank you very much for the useful information and quick reply! That sounds like a much easier approach. I had a look at the HTML source of your forum pages, and it seems to me that, in order to also get left navigation and the image on the right of the forum, you placed the forum inside <td> elements inside a larger table, right?

JForum does not use JSP -it uses FreeMarker-, so what do you mean by "integrating of Jforum in jsp template"?

So it takes a day for light to pass through this glass? So this was yesterday's tiny ad?
