I have installed jforum v2.1.7 two months ago, and upgrade to v2.1.8 some days ago. I am using Oracle10G database. some problems, bug? maybe...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
At file "oracle_2.1.7_to_2.1.8.sql" :
CREATE INDEX idx_banlist_email ON jforum_banlist(banlist_email); ---this index is exist at old version
...
ALTER TABLE jforum_users ALTER COLUMN rank_id SET DEFAULT 0; ---error, it can run smoothly while be written as
ALTER TABLE jforum_users modify rank_id DEFAULT 0;
...
CREATE INDEX idx_extensions_ext ON jforum_extensions(extension); --- the index is exist with different name.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

At file "oracle.sql":

there are two topic_id be selected, and lack \ at the end of the line. it must be:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

that is all to this day. hope help.

by the way, I found there are some different between jforum2.1.8+mysql and jforum2.1.7+oracle->2.1.8oracle:

A) 2.1.8oracle lack two table named jforum_api and jforum_mail_integration
B)mysql less a column named "is_read" as number(1) at table jforum_forums_watch

what effect while lack tables named jforum_api and jforum_mail_integration?

The two tables were not found in PostgreSQL, HSQLDB, MSSQL, too. They are related some experiment new feature still under development. So don't worry about it. JForum still can work correctly without these two tables.
