I am trying to connect JForum with Oracle on RAC. I followed the manual installation and changed the setting in the file and later created the table structures and loaded the data with the given oracle scripts. But couldn't succeed in connection.

database.connection.string=jdbc\racle\:thin\:${database.connection.username}/${database.connection.password}@(DESCRIPTION \=(ADDRESS \= (PROTOCOL \= TCP)(HOST \= HOST1)(PORT \= 1521))(ADDRESS \= (PROTOCOL \= TCP)(HOST \= HOST2)(PORT\=1521)) (LOAD_BALANCE \=no)(FAILOVER \=yes)(CONNECT_DATA \=(SERVER \=DEDICATED)(SERVICE_NAME \= oraforum)(FAILOVER_MODE \=(TYPE \= SELECT)(METHOD \= PRECONNECT))))

I was unable to connect. I got the following error.

06:23:20,933 WARN [BasicResourcePool ] com.mchange.v2.resourcepool.BasicResourcePool$AcquireTask@14275d4 -- Acquisition Attempt Failed!!! Clearing pending acquires. I am able to connect JForum with Oracle DB installed locally on a single host and I used the connection string as follows

The above connection string works fine.

Could the JForum be connected to Oracle on RAC ( this has got two hosts).
