Hi Guys,

Let me introduce myself.
I am new in this forum .I have around 4yrs of experience in JAVA ,Flex and J2EE technologies.I am SCJP5 certified.

As this is one of the biggest platform for JAVA developer I want to have suggestion form fellow JAVA developers

I worked on Adobe Flex and J2EE for more than 3yrs but currently due to current project and company's requirement i am working on core java and xml from past 1yr.
I am planning for SCWCD/OCPWCD. But is it really worth ? Or which other certification should i go for.

Thanks.

Welcome to CodeRanch!

The worth totally depends on what you are using. If you are not using JSP-Servlets and JSTL etc. then I do not see any use coming out of this certification. The choice depends on which technology you are using - e.g. if you are using EJB, then logically, you should pursue EJB certification etc.

I hope this helps.

Thanks Shiva for advice.

Actually from Past 1yr I am working on core JAVA and XML but i don't want to leave my touch with previous knowledge of J2EE and Flex.
As there are many other good frameworks available so SCWCD is still worth giving or should i go for some advance technology learning and certification.
