Hello Abcdef Wxyz,
Welcome to CodeRanch!
Firstly, please
use real name.
Secondly, I'm not sure if
you should feel that 'you've spoiled your career' just because you haven't got any onsite opportunities (just my thought).
For onsite opportunity, you'll need patience. Yes, some people get onsite within their first year or so, and some people don't get for 5-6 years. And there's very little someone can do about it.
But think it from this perspective: In a team, there are 2 onsite opportunities and 6 people willing for it. They've been waiting for it since, say an year or so. Now, if you just join that team, from manager's perspective, he would make you wait a little, instead of hurting 4 resources from his/her team.
So, be patient, and you'll get onsite. Also remember that loyalty pays (at least in this aspect)
All the best.
