Can anyone please tell me what is meant by reflective object in java? i am supposed to check for code profiling tools, I started with reading about jvm, garbage collection and memory management. Because I must be familiar with those concepts before profiling code.

I started reading here http://java.dzone.com/articles/java-performance-tuning

In the next page I saw some term called as reflective objects. And they are stored in the permanent region. What is a reflective object?

Can anyone please tell me? Thank you all in advance. Good day.

The term "reflective object" is not a common Java term - it's something that the author of that article came up with. It probably means: objects that contain information that is used by the reflection API, such as java.lang.Class objects.
