It has been two years since I have promoted anybody to sheriff. Mostly because I'm a lazy bastard.

And the reason for the promotion was the same as it usually is: somebody is doing a huge amount of work and the site suffers because this person is seriously limited by NOT having full admin access. And it takes me a while to figure out that the error is mine: "Oh! I thought they already had sheriff access."

By the artificial superpowers granted me by this rather excellent cup of coffee, I hereby promote these two to the rank of sheriff:

You two need to go and update the staff page.



One other thing. A while back I came up with a ranking of "Marshal" to represent the people that seem, to me, to be the most active sheriffs at the moment. These are the people I turn to the most for the day to day operations of all this ranchy stuff. There are always five marshals and one marshal commander. There is no doubt that I harass Andrew the most, so it is great that he is the marshal commander. Then Jeanne. And the third person I turn to the most often clearly needs to be promoted to marshal.

I send email to this guy so often, that I can speed type his unique (to me) name without making errors anymore - or needing to look it up, copy and paste it from somewhere else.

So for the first time ever on CodeRanch/JavaRanch, a person gets two promotions in one day. I bestow the rank of MARSHAL to
