hi,

I want to create simple login application using struts framework and database connectivity, but i dont know how one connects to database in struts and retrieve records from it.
Could any one please give some links where i can see some same type of sample application.
please it is urgent.

You can have your web application container manage security for you. The exact instructions will vary depending on what server you are using, but this article is a good overview of how to set it up.

Do you have any experience with Hibernate, SQL or JDBC? Have you ever used the Struts API to create a web application?

yes i have used struts to create some simple web-app but never used database connectivity.
I am a begginer in struts.
I wish to create a simple application which creates new users and which simply checks whether login details are correct or not when they are entered and displays a welcome page for a valid user.

Database connectivity in a Struts application is the same as it would be in any other web application.

My suggestion would be to Google "JDBC tutorial" and work through one of the tutorials you find in order to learn how to use JDBC to access a database.
