Hi all

Right now i got the HTTPrequest 500 error issue , so my jsp page will display the following information.

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, local@local.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

My Working environment is below:
JSP,Microsoft sql server database 2005 ,Struts 2.0,HTML,XML,JAVA

Issue: When i submit the my jsp form with entering the data, My strut's action will trigger,in the action code ,we perform the bulk-insert data operation, which insert the data to my database table and that is done by sql stored procedure. While the bulk-insert data operation was take too much time to insert the data to database, that's why i am getting the HttpRequest 500 internal server error, I am inform that i can't change my sql stored procedure performance because it is depends on many other logic and i have not time to improve that because if we going for it then it will take too much time for other changes , analysis, unit testing, development efforts,So if anybody have other approach/way/solution for my issue then please share it with me.

Thanks & regards

So you do not want to show anything to the user until your stored proc completes? If the stored proc takes too much time to complete its activity why cannot you trigger a separate thread for this ?
incase if its required to wait until the proc finishes , you can try something like WaitAndExecute filters to notify the GUI that something is happening behind the screen..
