Welcome to CodeRanch!

Exam 1z0-858 is for JEE version 5, however, 1z0-899 is for JEE version 6.

Unless you have any specific need to use JEE 5, I would suggest to go for JEE 6 exam (1z0-899).

All the Best!

Unfortunately, I haven't given the exam for JEE version 6 (I gave it for version 5 - and I used Head First Servlets and JSP - but I think JEE 6 edition for this book is not yet available), but you can help yourself by referring to ScwcdFaq(<- click)

as of now there is only one book which targets OCEWCD 6 exam. and i'm afraid that it is available in india, though you can get it from www.junglee.com who will import for you but charge more. the book is OCEWCD study companion by Charles lyons. also there is no new version of HFSJ book. the book currently is in 2nd edition but it targets scwcd 5. i recommend you going through wall of fame and read few success stories. they wil help you how the successful people have prepared for the exam even without the book. dig into scwcd faq's and scwcd links given above.
