Getting NoClassDefFoundError

Hai all,

i AM Gettign : java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError rg/springframework/util/Assert

Error when i am creating sessionfactory from an applicationContext.xml file, can anybody help me to solve this problem and may i know why this error is coming.

Did you put spring.jar in your CLASSPATH ?
Or at least spring-core.jar ?

Dear Satou,

I put spring.jar file in my project properties. i am using ecilipse 3.1 IDE. Is it complosary to have spring-core.jar in properties file..

If you've got spring.jar, it's ok.
Maybe your Eclipse is not set properly. When you execute your application, you can check the Classpath settings in the "Run" window. Make sure spring.jar is in it.
