SCEA/OCM-EA preparation - EE dev certs on route?

Hello all

I've decided to go for SCEA/OCM-EA this year. While I'm at it, I'm wondering would it also be a good idea to do the other EE developers (web, EJB, web services) certs on route. Because I'm thinking, the EA cert has sections on web tier, EJB tier and surely need to know web services a bit; why not learn the necessary details along the way?

I truly understand the amount of servlets/JSP, EJB/JPA, web services may not need to be too deep for the EA exam but in the long run, shouldn't an architect know how to develop apps with these technologies hands-on? Since in the real world, people expect you be a developer before you promote to become an architect.

What do you all think?

Oh if you guys worry about the mandatory training, I got that taken care of some time ago.

It's a good idea. One should go step by step. First the detailed certifications and then SCEA.
