1Z0-804 certification

Hello I have 1Z0-851 certification I woul like to get 1Z0-804, I know there is upgrade exam if you have scjp 6 but I am not using java a lot at work, It would be opportunity to review java basic concetp
for me, so I would like to know if I can enroll to 1Z0-804 exam
Also which is best book for 1Z0-804 ? I really loved SCJP Sun Certified Programmer for Java 6 Study Guide Sierra and Bates, with two minutes drills review and quiz at the end of every chapter

No. You have two possible ways to get to OCPJP 7.

1) Take 1Z0-805 (upgrade exam)
2) Take 1Z0-803 (OCAJP 7) first and then take 1Z0-804 (OCPJP 7)

My advice is to just take the upgrade exam. I think you'll find the OCA to be really boring.

Already you finish SCJP 6, so there is no need for OCPJP7 exam. If you want to take this exam before that you need to finish OCAJP7 as a prior exam, otherwise you can't take OCPJP7. With this point your money as well as your time is totally waste. Simply go and take Upgrade exam. It will give you a revise to basic java also upgrade you to Java SE 7.

Hi Davide,

As said by Jeanne, you can take any one way to get OCPJP 7 certification.

There is only one book available for preparing OCPJP 7 certification i.e. the book by Ganesh/Sharma. You can rely on this. I recently cleared my OCPJP 7 exam using it. Some more information about OCPJP 7 can be found in this blog.
