Dear All,
I am using Log4j in my project and i need to configure my application to create a separate log file for every 3 or 4 hours .currently we have the properties file entry as follows.
log4j.appender.A1.DatePattern='-'yyyy-MM-dd-HH'.log'
This is for every hour.

pls advise me..

From DailyRollingFileAppender API it looks like hourly and twice daily are the closest to your desired 3 or 4 hours that log4j supports.
