not getting the given directory structure for spring

i am very new to spring development. i am using a tutorial which make use of spring 3.1.0m2 it's directory structure with directory dist,projects,src. i have downloaded spring files for 4.0.4 which doesnt have this structure

What exactly are you downloading? All you need is to use SPring are the jar files.

If you use a build tool like Maven or gradle, you don;t need to download anything. The spring docs have instructions on how to use Maven, Ivy and Gradle. FOllow those instructions if you are doing this for the first time.
