Hi All,
i Installed the XAMPP successfully and being able to run PHP also. But while click on start button for Apache and MySql. Question arises in my mind that it should be somewhere in my system itself so i tried to find in All programs(using windows 7) but it is not there.i tried more and find out phpMyAdmin through which we can make table. But still question arise that where is MySql get installed.

apart from that i am plaaning to install MySql for GUI purpose. will it lead to conflict of using same port (3306) or both are same ???

Thanks in advance.

I would assume it's not installed seperately, but just a part of the xampp install (just like apache, php and other applications). If you check the directory where you installed xampp, you'll see the mysql directory.

Thanks for your reply.
It means if it already installed as a part of Xampp , so it is not possible to install the GUI version of MySql on system.

Correct me if i am wrong.

You can install standalone mysql too. You can even install multiple copies of XAMPP if you want.
Just make sure they all bind to different ports - search for "my.cnf" in each installation and change the port in from 3306 to unique values.

Forget this weirdo. You guys wanna see something really neat? I just have to take off my shoe .... (hint: it's a tiny ad)
