Per the exam objectives, you need to know the following runtime exceptions and errors:

Recognize situations that will result in any of the following being thrown: ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException,ClassCastException, IllegalArgumentException, IllegalStateException, NullPointerException, NumberFormatException, AssertionError, ExceptionInInitializerError, StackOverflowError or NoClassDefFoundError. Understand which of these are thrown by the virtual machine and recognize situations in which others should be thrown programatically.

Which ones do you think are unchecked? (It will be more memorable if you try to answer than I just tell you.)

Also, which of these do you think are checked/unchecked?

Hi Ravi,

The distinction is made very clear at Checked versus unchecked exceptions.

Regards,
Dan

If you really want to get a list of exceptions you would have to go to the Throwable class and recursively visit the known subclasses links.

Sarika Chavan please copy and paste the lists as text; pictures may be difficult to view and cannot be indexed.
