I have been preparing scjp 6 exam. then i came to know that its been converted to ocjp. When I searched on Internet I got confused between many exams and versions.. I have prepared basics of java 6 which were there previously in scjp 6 exam. Can you please clarify me which exam is suitable for me and its exam code no. I have prepared for sun 310-065. Thank you

Welcome to the Ranch!

If you prepared for Sun's 310-065 then go for Oracle's 1Z0-851.
They are almost exactly the same.

Actually Oracle's OCPJP covers a little less topics. Serialization and another topic I don't remember were dropped from the syllabus.
Also OCPJP does not contain drag-n-drop questions.

This question has beed asked several times on javaranch. Like here.

1Z0-803 is a different exam. It is Java SE 7 Programmer I which will get you Oracle Certified Associate, Java SE 7 Programmer certified.

Thank you very much sir. Actually I saw post on oracle university about 1z0-851 in What will you learn tab and it says you will be able to event based GUI using swing... and it blew my mind because swings are not at all part of SCJP exam. So I thought there might have changes in the objectives and hence better to ask experts. Sorry for disturbance.
