Hi,

I have a problem, WAS failed initialization since I rename com.ibm.ws.security.crypto.jar at /opt/was_D85/AppServer/plugins to other name.
I already renamed the jar to it's original name but still failed initialization.

My environment is:
OS: AIX
WebSphere 8.5

The error I'm getting:

[12-01-2015 13:13:50:057 WET] 00000001 WsServerImpl E WSVR0100W: An error occurred initializing, server1 [class com.ibm.ws.runtime.component.ServerImpl]

Hi Joao, welcome to Java Ranch!

I don't have Websphere installed anywhere at the moment, but it does seem that you have removed a necessary Jar from Websphere's class path. You can use jar command line tools (or any other tools that can work with zip files) to look inside your crypto.jar and see if that class actually exists in it. If so, then it's not getting into the class path. If not, then you have to find the jar that contains the class.

Hi, thank you very much.

I solved the problem by cleaning the WAS caches.

Regards.
