Retriving 200 reconds taking 5 seconds

When I execute that statement it retrieves about 200 records from a very large table. I've timed that it takes about 5 seconds every time.
The table has four columns, one tinytext (the big one full of text), one date and two ints.

When it is a "streaming" results set I have the same problem, expect the 5sec delay is moved to when I iterate over the result set.

Is it normal that it takes so long?

SOLVED: indexed the UserID column, now it takes a few miliseconds.
