9 and 10 in your list (dates and lambdas) are covered in detail.

Functional programming as a whole is not on the OCAJP exam. There's a sentence or two on it, but it is an OCPJP topic. It will be covered extensively in our second book. I don't see that in the topic list on Amazon. It used to be, but was removed. (Our book was originally a combined OCA/OCP book and then the publisher asked us to split it.)

The 1st sentence of the book introduction is still a little bit misleading/wrong since the book was split into 2 parts Don't know if it's easy to have this adjusted.

Yes, Roel de Nijs,i spotted that Full coverage of functional programming will be covered in detail ,hence its misleading since the author is telling it will be covered in second book. Please comment on it.

Hope i win the book. keeping fingers crossed

No idea what I should comment on. It's simply a left-over from the original study guide, where OCA and OCP were combined.

Deepak,
Can you elaborate about what you are asking? It sounds like you are asking to copy/paste an example from the book and put it online. But maybe I'm misunderstanding?

You'll find plenty of code (and extensive explanation) in Oracle's Date Time Trail.

Deepal Lal wrote:2. Java Code for Introducing the new Java 8 Lambda predicate expressions with detailed explanation.

I think both Oracle's Lambda Quick Start and Lambda Expressions (as part of Oracle's tutorial Learning the Java Language) will meet your needs of java code with detailed explanation.

Hope it helps!
Kind regards,
Roel
