Kathy: Is this the right forum to promote your book?

Hi Kathy,

I first wondered why the promotion is held in the "Game Development" forum. I thought (without having read the book yet) there must be a another forum that fits better to place the promotion but could not find any. Is your book so special that it seems to be difficult to find the right place here? If you could freely choose a forum topic - what would it be? Maybe "The Game Of Deveoplment"?

This is probably *not* the best forum, but then again it's probably as good as any other! It's sort of a combination learning + product design + UX book. But I spent many years as a game developer, and there is some Venn diagram overlap there

As the person who schedules book promos, I was responsible for picking a forum to host the promo. While the book is plenty relevant to developers, our forums don't map well to it. It isn't a great fit for Agile/Process or Job Discussion which is where I normally put more general topics.

But I remembered this fact and went with it. Plus this forum is normally kinda quiet so the focus would be more on Kathy's book.

Hi Kathy and Jeanne,

thanks for your point of view regarding the forum choice. Your both view is comprehensible but I like the idea that the book is about "The Game Of Development". If I win the book, I'll check whether my idea endures.
