Hi.

The unemployment office of my city has offered me the opportunity to make a course about Java web services which include the 1Z0-897 exam for free. I just have the OCA 1Z0-803. So I would like to know if I can take the 1Z0-897 exam before 1Z0-804. Then after passing that exam I would apply for the 1Z0-804 exam.
Is it possible?

Thanks.

Welcome to Coderanch!

No, unfortunately that is not possible. You can check the official prior certification requirements here: (Oracle)

I guess that this answer is wrong. Two weeks later you answered the opposite:
1) The order of exams is not important
2) You can request both certifcates (hardcopies) after you pass the last one (in this case OCPJP)

I contacted with oracle and they told me that the order is not important.

Please can you clarify why did you say that is not possible???

Thank you

Yes, I was wrong here. I really didn't know that it was possible.

In case of doubts always contact Oracle directly!
