Hi,
I'm planning to go for this certification.
Below book in amazon says it covers 3 exams (1Z0-807, 1Z0-865 & 1Z0-866).
Does that mean i've to appear for these 3 exams?

I'm aware that 1Z0-807 is multiple choice question exam and other two are assignment and essay exam.
I've seen somewhere it was mentioned that it takes 4-6 weeks to get assignment test result. Is that right?
Also how long it takes to get essay result?

Is there any order to take exam or i can appear any of them?

My background is i'm a performance architect having 14 years of experience into performance engineering. Hands on with java, oracle , application/web server performance tuning, testing etc..
Never done any kind of architecting, but understands architecting as my job involves in troubleshooting production server performance issue and tune them as well.
Given my brief background how long you think it should take to achieve this certification.

OCM Java EE 6 Enterprise Architect Exam Guide (Exams 1Z0-807, 1Z0-865 & 1Z0-866) (Oracle Press)

Thanks

While there are three exam numbers, that really means you have to pay three times. Only two are proctored exams. Part 1 is the multiple choice one. Part 2 is the assignment and part 3 is the essay. Parts 1 and 3 are taken at a testing center. You get a combined score for parts 2 and 3 so you have to wait the 4-6 weeks (or so; it varies) for your score for both.

I don't know if there is a rule that you have to take part 1 before parts 2 and 3. It makes sense to though as you need the concepts covered in part 1 for the later parts.

Did you see the requirement that you take a course from Oracle to complete this cert? It can be done after the exams, but it doesn't need to be done at some point.

The training is mandatory. Oracle just won't give you the cert until the training is complete.

The training can be any time (before, during or after).

For the exam order, I have seen people done the assignment/essay first before the MC exam. Yet I personally don't recommend.

You may want to check the FAQ, books and online resources here for your preparation.
