Google's competitors seem to have alleged that Google are shutting them out of searches and that discriminates against them, and are starting legal action against them, presumably as a competition/monopoly problem, across this side of the Pond. It said in today's newspaper that Obama suggested that was out of jealousy because American internet companies were so much more successful than European ones.

Maybe the litigants think that European courts are more likely to be sympathetic.

If that isn't enough to make a few snakes hiss, I don't know what is

Probably doesn't have anything to do with it.
