Hi everyone,

Like in the subject, I would know if the score of the passing essay part 1 is relevant, will it appear in some place when you will get the certification?

If I will fail the essay part 1, is there a minimum period that I have to wait to retry it?

Hi Angelo,

Your score will be available for you in "see my exam history" section on Oracle CertView site.
Oracle does not provide a way to share exam scores with third parties, and your score will not not appear on your certificate.
You can publish your certification credentials for third parties to verify on a CertView site, but not your score.

On a related matter, I think it is important for you to know that first part of OCMJEA is multiple choice exam, not an essay.
Essay is a part 3.

As Mike said part 1 is the MC exam not the essay.

Passing part 1 alone doesn't get you the certificate. All parts (exams & training) need to complete & pass before Oracle gives you the certificate.

The Oracle retake policy is like 14 days

Hi Mike,

Thanks a lot for your quick answer, however i meant "multiple choice exam". I think that the score for this part is less relevant than the essay part, but in general like you said no one can see your general score....god to know.

Thanks

Hi Angelo,

I think that the score for this part is less relevant than the essay part,

Sorry, I do not understand why you think this way.

All parts of certification path are of equal importance. You will not get certified until you successfully pass first part (multiple choice exam).
Then again, a multiple choice exam is graded independently, but an essay does not receive independent marks, but rather is graded together with the part 2 (an assignment).

Ok, everything is clear.

another question: In the muliple choice exam for the question where you can check multiple answers, it is always specified the number of the answers that you have to choice?

Yes also you must get all answers correct to get that question right, no partial marks.

Yes, it says how many answers you must choose, for example, pick the best 2 answers about JCA.

And in the end, if you let some question slip by without marking all the required number of answers, it'll show up in the validation screen before you can submit the test, so as long as you don't get trigger-happy, you'll get warned and get a chance to review your pending questions.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
