what are the implications/issues of deploying the server classes compiled in jdk 1.2 and the client classes compiled in jdk 1.3. on weblogic 6.1. According to bea weblogic 6.1 doc. it is recomended to use jdk1.3?

The primary issue is the no gurantee of behavior. We have seen problems when using JMS and EJB.
We have seen the behavior of client loosing connection to WLS server in normal load and heavy load. HTTP tunneling didn't worked normaly. My recommendation will be to use JVM 1.3.1 build 24c or higher for your server components as well as clients to avoid any misbehavior.
Hope it helps,
