after installing java 1.8 not sure if Eclipse is using java 1.8

Hello,

I have installed jdk 8u45 for mac. succesfully.
When i type java -verison I see the version on the prompt: 1.8.45
But in Eclipse I don't see this version mentioned, i am not sure if eclipse uses the newer version of java.

Angelo,
Inside Eclipse, go to the workspace preferences and go to "installed JREs". You will probably have to add Java 8 there and make it the workspace default.
