Hi All,

My name is Sridhar Baratam and I am the Product Manager at CA Technologies for Workload Automation Advanced Integration for Hadoop. We are working on a new project integrating Hadoop with CA Workload Automation engines (AE, DE and ESP) and would like to invite you to participate in Sprint reviews and demos.

Hadoop comes with a built-in Scheduler, Oozie, to schedule Hadoop jobs like HDFS, MapReduce, Pig etc. In most cases, companies already have an pre-existing powerful, enterprise scheduler such as those from CA Workload Automation. Having multiple products, one for Hadoop and one for the rest of the enterprise, leads to lack of visibility across end-end processes spanning multiple teams, in addition to errors and time wasted in coordination and knowledge transfer on a daily basis.

To mitigate this gap, CA Workload Automation team is working on providing Hadoop integration capabilities as part of its enterprise engines. This integration will provide end-to-end automation using a single scheduling tool, while allowing users to eliminate process delays and better control of their heterogeneous environment including Hadoop. Existing Oozie workflows can be triggered from CA WLA as well.

Please reach out to me if you would like to participate in the integration or have any questions.

Thank you for your help and interest!

Best,
Sridhar
