Hi,

I want to change the icons from Jforum. I want to change their position, their size and the image of the icons. So, I've been trying to replace the images with another images keeping the same name, but I don't get any success, it just doesn't show up even if I clean the history and cookies from the browser. So, I would like to know if you use a special format or there is any rule for modifying the icons.

Regards,

Jackie

Jackie,
Welcome to CodeRanch!

If you use the same name and size, that's all you have to do. In addition to clearing the browser cache (the whole cache, not just the URL history), have you tried restarting JForum in case your web server is caching them?

Also, check you are modifying the right icon. There's a few folders with icons so it is possible you are changing a different one than the screen uses. One way to test this is to delete the icon entirely and confirm you get an error/missing image in the browser.

For size, you probably have to go in the HTML code to reflect the new size.

Thank you Jeanne! Yes, it worked now. What I did is to convert the image to .gif and then replace the image with the same icon's name. What I've been doing in order to see the changes quickly, I refresh the entire folder located at "\templates\default\images" and also open the image from eclipse.

Thank you again!
