I am learning Spring REST. Is there any advantage of creating RESTful web services using Spring REST instead of using non spring Restful implementations like RestEasy,Restlets,Jersey? Does Spring provide any advantage or is it just another way of creating RESTful web services. One difference I saw is that in Resteasy we have to create a class of singletons whereas it is not needed in Spring. It may be automatically being done by Spring.

I am not sure whether this should be posted in Webservices forum or Spring forum.I am posting it in web services forum as that may be more appropriate.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
