Hi,
Can anyone elaborate the differences between
WLS5.1, 6.1, and 7.1? or point to some links
on internet? Thanks.

The difference is 1.0 each
The current release is 7.0 (not 7.1). But if a 7.1 is ever released, the diff between that and 6.1 will then be 1.0.

All the docs for these versions are available at http://e-docs.bea.com
As far as J2EE spec support goes:
WLS 5.1 was pre-j2ee, but supported EJB 1.1 and servlets (forget the version).
WLS 6.1 was J2EE 1.2 and also had some J2EE 1.3 features available (it came out just ahead of the 1.3 spec). EJB 2.0, Servlet 2.3.
WLS 7.0 is J2EE 1.3.
