Hi,
I am trying to create connection pool for sql server 2000 in the admin console of weblogic 7.1. Now, i am able to use dbping utility successfully. But when i try creating connection pool i get the following error :
Could not create pool connection. The DBMS driver exception was:
java.sql.SQLException: Can't open a socket on homepc:1433. Check host and port number and make sure the security manager allows this connection. You can also try running the SocketApplet (java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect).
I am using the following parameters :
URL : jdbc:weblogic:mssqlserver4 ubs@homepc:1433
driver : weblogic.jdbc.mssqlserver4.Driver
properties :
user=sa
password=
server=homepc
port=1433
The same URL works fine with command line dbPing utility.
Would appreciate if someone can help me out.
Thanks,
Vikas
