For a long time the only game in town for a build tool for Clojure was Leiningen. Recently Boot came of age and is a great option to consider if you want a build tool that is more like "regular Clojure" and not so declarative.

We recently switched from Leiningen to Boot at work (World Singles) and we're very pleased with that decision. You can read about that on my blog seancorfield.github.io.

Thanks for posting this, Sean. I've never done enough Clojure to get into Leiningen, but Boot definitely sounds like a promising alternative, next time I pick up my trusty parentheses!

Mimmo Cosenza (magomimmo) just recently updated his excellent (pre-SPA) ClojureScript tutorial Modern ClojureScript Second Edition to use and show the use of the boot build tool.
