HI ,

I am planning to do certification in Web services(Java EE 6 Web Services Developer Certified Expert 1Z0-897).
After checking the https://education.oracle.com i am having below confusion.

1. Is doing this (Oracle Certified Associate, Java SE 8 Programmer) certification is enough to appear for "Java EE 6 Web Services Developer Certified Expert 1Z0-897" as the website says the pre requisite is this (Oracle or Sun Certified Java Programmer (Professional) any version).
2. Under professional category i found this (Oracle Certified Professional, Java SE 8 Programmer) as one of exam (which shows exam name as : Java SE 8 Programmer II 1Z0-809 after clicking ) showing Prior Certification Requirements as Oracle Certified Associate, Java SE 8 Programmer ,
--- so to do Web services(Java EE 6 Web Services Developer Certified Expert 1Z0-897) i need to give two exams of Associate and professional level in one of the hava SE version.

please Advice.

Thanks .

No, OCA is not enough.

Yes, you will need to do two exams unless you pass the 1Z0-851 Oracle Certified Professional, Java SE 6 Programmer exam which is going to retire soon.

In other words:
  • Java SE 7 Programmer I | 1Z0-803 AND Java SE 7 Programmer II | 1Z0-804
  • Java SE 8 Programmer I | 1Z0-808 AND Java SE 8 Programmer II | 1Z0-809

    Hi,

    I cracked two exams,

1)Oracle certified professional java programmer (1Z0-851)
2)Oracle certified expert java web component developer (1Z0-899)

Am i eligible to take OCEJWSD (Web Services Certification).

    Yes, number 1 is enough.

Of course, I found a very beautiful couch. Definitely. And this tiny ad:
