Hi everyone,

If someone prepares himself for the OCP java 8 exam, i see more than mock exam such as enthuware, myexamcloud, gocertify, whizlabs
also i see more than Certification guide for the exam at Amazon such as
Oracle Certified Professional Java SE 8 Programmer II Study Guide - "Jeanne Boyarsky and Scott Selikoff "
and
Oracle Certified Professional Java SE 8 Programmer Exam 1Z0-809: A Comprehensive OCPJP 8 Certification Guide - " S.G. Ganesh, Hari Kiran Kumar, Tushar Sharma "

i have two questions and i wish the experts guide me

1 - what is the mock exam should i take from the stated above ?

2 - if i will read the two Certification guides it will be redundant or it will be useful as I've heard that the exam is hard ? or it is sufficient choosing one Certification guide ?

Thanks,

1) Enthuware gets the best recommendations in the forums.

2) Some people use one study guide and some use two. (I realize that isn't a useful answer.) It really depends on the person. I recommend starting with one and seeing how well you feel prepared.

Jeanne, I would like to know your opinion, is the resources "Java the complete reference 9th Edition" with "Java 8 in action" is sufficient Before start reading the OCP java 8 certification guide?

Yes, reading either of those books first would be fine. (You could probably read an OCP book without reading either of those, but it is good for your career to know Java more thoroughly!)

Jeanne, I've seen at Amazon "OCA / OCP Java SE 8 Programmer Certification Kit" what is the difference between this kit and the two OCA and OCP Java 8 study guides ?

The kit costs less money . Seriously, the kit is the two books packaged together so people get a discount for buying both.

i had thought they are different.

this is a good thing, this means that if anyone plans to buy both he will get a big discount also because the kit will be shipped as one item

thank you Jeanne for your reply and advice.
