Hi,

i have downloaded the stable version 2.1.9 and uploaded in my server. i start following the installation steps and got the error:
JForum is not able to create or write files to the directory /var/lib/tomcat7/webapps/phrForum/WEB-INF/jforumLuceneIndex. Please give full write access to it before continuing.

However, the folder /WEB-INF/jforumLuceneIndex does not exist, i checked again the zip file that i have downloaded and is not there.

Yes, you need to create that directory yourself and make it writable.

Also, you really should use the latest version of JForum (2.4.1), which can be found at https://sourceforge.net/projects/jforum2/files/?source=navbar. 2.1.9 has a bunch of bugs and security holes which will not get fixed. JForum2 on SourceForge has fixed those issues, and also added a number of new features.
