Hi,
I loaded a Java Swing project as a Maven application in Eclipse, but i got the following errors:

1) Missing artifact edu.umass.cs:mallet:jar:0.4   Maven Dependency Problem
2) Missing artifact net.sourceforge.alpie:datagenerator:jar:0.1.1   Maven Dependency Problem
3) Project build error: Non-resolvable parent POM for net.sourceforge.alpie:datagenerator:0.2-SNAPSHOT: Failure to find net.sourceforge.alpie:parent:pom:0.1.1 in http://alpie.sourceforge.net/maven2/ was cached in the local repository, resolution will not be reattempted until the update interval of alpie-repo.releases has elapsed or updates are forced and 'parent.relativePath' points at wrong local POM Maven pom Loading Problem.
4) The container 'Maven Dependencies' references non existing library 'C:\Users\Fatine\.m2\repository\edu\umass\cs\mallet\0.4\mallet-0.4.jar'    Build Path Problem.

Here is the link to the project: https://sourceforge.net/projects/alpie/
Could you help me fix these errors please?

Welcome to the Ranch.

It looks like two problems: you are missing a parent POM file and one of your dependencies doesn't exist in the central repository.

Where did you get the project from?  Is it possible to the parent POM too?  It's also probable that this project depends on other projects.

Thank you for your answer.

I get the project from Sourceforge: https://sourceforge.net/projects/alpie/

Indeed, this project contains 3 sub-projects that are dependant.

I downloaded this project and ran into problem after problem.  I was going to help you along with building it but I think it's hopeless.  The project hasn't been updated in eight years so it probably not working.

If you really want to be guided up to the point that I got, I'll post my journey here.  You'll need to be able to run Maven from the command line (mvn).
